Hitler Reborn

And so it’s happened. The madman from Kremlin set the world on fire. The Dark Ones have awakened and it’s only the matter of time when he will feed us all to the fucking Cthulhu.

That’s enough of black humor because I’m not really in the mood for jokes. It’s too close to me. Not only the war is behind our border but I have Ukrainian colleagues, friends I know, I talk to regularly. It’s too overwhelming, it renders one almost speechless, I don’t even know what to write in this blog. At the same time, I’m not able to think about anything else for now on.

I honestly pity the people. For all their heroism, let’s be realistic, their country will be buried. The question is who’s going to be next. Poland? Baltic nations? Does the insane dictator even fear the confrontation with NATO if he now pisses on all the economic sanctions? Did Hitler care about the international opinion? No.

History is repeating itself and before our eyes. Unfortunately.

Chemical Whore

I found this in my Facebook newsfeed.

I like dystopian songs but seriously… For sure, I’m a chemical whore but who isn’t? I’m not going to talk about the idiots who keep buying meds they don’t need. They are seriously fucked in the head. But when I’m sick, when I feel pain or discomfort that makes everyday activities difficult, I visit my doctor and I take meds. They usually help. Sometimes, they don’t but guess what… science is not almighty. Only Jesus or (insert any other deity here) can do miracles, that is if you believe in gods. If you don’t, then tough luck.

Some people blindly trust science, they have an almost religious attitude to it. And it shows not only through the excessive taking of pills but also through the resentment against the Big Pharma making money. Because if Jesus cured people for free, couldn’t pharmaceutical companies do the same? While there is a certain amount of truth in conspiracy theories, most of them seem to stem from the quasi-religious grudge against the dreary, chaotic and confusing reality.

And the reality is that humans are mortal, their bodies are weak and that’s the opportunity for business for pharma and funeral companies. The former at least offer some hope. Do the latter have a moral obligation to work for free too?
